Hess Develops Complete Process Line for Diesel Converters

NILES, MI - Hess Industries announces the development of a process line for the manufacture of Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC) & Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) assemblies. The growing demand for diesel exhaust products has spurred Hess Engineering group of Hess Industries to use experience in core metalforming technologies in the development of machinery for production of diesel converters.

Diesel Converter PartThe manufacturing process accommodates a variety of part designs including welded end cones, spun ends, flange mounts and integrated components, such as internal and external heat shields. Part sizes with substrates up to 10" diameter are typical, with larger sizes available for commercial & off-road applications.

Customer defined processes have integrated substrate inspection and gauging, tube forming, spinforming, and complete integrated cell assemblies.
