Applications : Fuel Filler Neck

The filler neck delivers fuel from the nozzle to the fuel tank. The filler neck has some distance to travel and obstacles to avoid before reaching the fuel tank. Stainless steel tubing is used to minimize long-term corrosion. The tube may be bent and reduced in diameter to achieve the needed configuration. Diameter reductions cannot reduce the wall thickness of the tube for fear that the mechanical integrity of the device will be lost.

Our spinforming machines use sophisticated tooling and control techniques to provide long diameter reductions without impacting tube wall thickness.
